Poem -
black or white

- black or white
- what does that mean
- black or white
- tan or cream
- do we go with word's like white cappichino or dark no cream
- no you love the colour for what we are
- you love that colour
- remember long ago we treated like slaves
- people like us hard feelings we gave
- yes we are the ancestors but still we feel ashamed
- all those innocents our ancestors have maimed
- live as we are the the more guilty we are
- time to put the weapon down
- time to realize our children are us all
- black or white
- black or white
- this is us all

Wow Tina,
A lady with a heart that represents no other color except (Gold) and one whom opinion, is shared by all those, whom carry compassion, (for not just one but), for every color of the rainbow and at the end of her arch of colors, shall not she find, only the elusive pot of gold but shall she be met, by people of love and care, with the same heartfelt resistance, (to the few), who thinks her opposition of and resistance to radical racism, of all, on all, truly is a thing of the past for all…Tina you are a brave and wise woman and my hat not only do I take off but offer to you and hope be it accepted along with your prized pot of gold, offered to you, by the hands, of the colors you have presented and shared, your heat of gold to and from, an apology by you, need not be warranted, but will be accepted on behalf of the one, just as it is presented, by the other…..In a class of your own….Truly a brave woman in today’s day and ages…..We must all learn to forgive and forget, if we (ALL) plan on living amongst each other, as an integrated society of one people…
Thank You Very Much Tina,
Jimmy
Tina (may I call you sister?),
Thank you for trusting me enough with your e-mail. Mine is jwhaley2000 at yahoo.com. For whatever reason When I prompt "send message" on the site, I get bounced (bad connection?). I wish that good intentions were enough to solve humanity's problems. I don't write many personal pieces (too much pain- not enough love). How many people in your life know that you write? Much support? Your parents still alive? Your culture still intact? Consider yourself fortunate that our roles are not reversed. My conscience won't allow me to ignore your pleas for compassion- I wish I could hug you- assuring you that you won't suffer from the fallout of what's coming from my arsenal. My people have to worry about more than racism from others. The result of centuries of the world being taught to hate us is that we've been taught to hate ourselves. More homework assignments: Google "William Lynch" and his plan for breaking the will of Afrikans in the Western hemisphere. What colonialism did to Afrikans in the Eastern hemisphere- and you might get a glimpse of why it is of the utmost importance that a voice be raised for us before we can be fully included in a "global community". If I don't do it- who will? I still have room in my heart for you and others like you- I ask what my Father asks- that you have patience and faith. In Bob Marley's song: "Natural Mystic", he sings "...many more will have to suffer, many more will have to die- don't ask me why". My faith demands demands that I love you as I much as I love my own.
