scenting blood
The Progressives
and conservatives 
hoard over their
prey
The blood bath
frenzy they 
seek 
is set in motion 
only by the way
we the people
react.

Regurgitating 

past sins
of a public figure
only strengthens 
the power they
seek while
distorting and
weakening 
the moral 
line that 
we as a 
society strives 
to live by.

Of course
today 
the average 
reasonable 
person 
Does not
believe dressing 
up with a black face 
is appropriate 
but neither
do we believe
that a woman’s 
place is
being at home 
Barefoot  and pregnant 
Times have changed
society has evolved
why can we not
consider the possibility 
that individuals
can evolve too......
