Poem -

Blank Canvas

thoughts wash over her brain like waves crashing against a rock

they're overwhelming and she can't control them

what is more deadly? a gun or a thought?

the thoughts that fill her head race around

then she's empty

a numbness fills her and she's lost

she is a blank canvas

she allows other people's colors to bleed onto her because she doesnt know what happened to her own

all her colors have faded and whats left?

a girl who cant find her way

her brain is a map of winding roads and alleyways that lead to nowhere

a dead end or a cliff where she tries desperately not to fall

she know if she falls it will take months to get back to stable ground

months of climbing and climbing and feeling like there's no end

until there is

so sometimes she stays teetering on the edge

and sometimes she stays away

whether she falls isn't a choice of hers to make

so instead she searches for hope

a light at the end of one of those winding roads

without hope she loses herself

she becomes that blank, colorless canvas

A Lonely Journey

Great write, Daraviagianna.
It is beautifully sad, and well written.
Loved that.
