Poem -

Bless them

This poem is inspired by a song done by SSgt Barry Sadler United States Army

I dreamt I was walking through Arlington national cemetery   when I see the image of the unknown solider with tears in his eyes as he turned from me. I heard him say with is back to me   god bless them all, bless them everyone please god bless them all.  Then I watched as more than 50,000 men march by me in review I knew more than just a few.   With tears in my eyes I said these words as I stood watching. May they forgive you America for sending them to die in and unjust war, just to satisfy the greed of a few,   god bless them all. Bless them everyone, please god bless them all

As  I wiped my tears I heard a familiar voice  come to me  say  America  if you if you need us again  we will be here for you . I smiled as I knew that was the voice of a true solider and man that loved his country right or wrong    I awoke and found I was in my cot in some country on the other side of the world, fighting for the rights of a people that needed our help   and got on my knees and said a prayer for myself and my fellow solders     God bless us all, bless us everyone please god bless us all
