Blessings from Above
 
The summer’s breeze whispers through the trees
It sings it’s gentle song of calming and peace
 
It’s early morning and you’re still fast asleep
And I’ve got all of my promises that I need to keep
 
I don’t want to wake you while you’re still dreaming
Another beautiful day that’s how it’s seeming
 
It’s time to do more than just to live
I have got so many of my gifts to give
 
The brilliant glowing sun is now on the rise
With a flock of seagulls I can hear their cries
 
Another shining day in this life of yours and mine
I can tell you everything is going to be better than fine
 
The blazing sun sits high in the western sky
Oh how like birds we both wish we could fly
 
Our golden friendship does know no end
It goes where the river winds and bends
 
We’ve lived to welcome another wondrous day
You just watch as everything goes our way
 
We will skip stones upon the ocean of life
And we will pray for peace free of strife
 
We will build a bridge that’s made of love
Welcome the blessings that come from above
 
We will take a wander down the garden path
And not worry about finding our way back
 
 
We will hang our dreams at the rainbow’s end
And our right to live free we’ll always defend
 
I have so much love and admiration for you
You can mark my words as being true
 
I speak to you straight from my loving heart
In this life I hope we never have to part
