Blind eyes

Blind eyes

I have these thick black bags that sit comfortably under the sockets of my emerald eyes.

They allow me to view the world.

But even still sometimes my vision is blind to the reality around me.

Sometimes these eyes are naive like the soul of the child I once was.

Wanting to ignore all the heartache and trauma in this world.

Sometimes these eyes are wise and intolerant to the pain in this world.

And in these moments I miss the beauty that once exisited in the world...

It becomes a world without colour.

...and I'm still trying to find a way to balance out these eyes to see reality.
