Down to the bones

You see,
When I write poetry
I’m carving my heart out of my chestĀ 
Handing you my organs on a plater.Ā 
All blood and gutsĀ 
Bare and naked.Ā 
And you wonder why I’m scaredĀ 
For you to read my heart.Ā
