Blinding

Blinding

The feeling is unknown to me
The words are fresh and new
Like dew on the clovers
Like the feelings I have for you.

My words aren't telling lies
What I'm saying is the truth
But saying it is hard
No rest for a wordsmith.

But I have to tell you
Of this emotion on the tip of my tongue
How I feel for you
how you make my heart jump.

My mouth is dry now,
Holding my breath.
I hope you understand,
That saying I Love You,
Is harder than you think.
