Blindly feeding

Blindly feeding

I'm a blade

A blade of grass

Bent by the wind and fed by the sun

Im a blade

A blade of grass

Power unseen

And my power is vast

I an a leaf

blowing in the breeze

Once attached but now im free

Returned to the ground

Were I belong

I am a leaf

I am strong

I am a man I take my fill

I over indulge

I waste I spill

Its true one day I will return to the ground

Having abused the gift

In chase for the pound

Its not the way

We know but still

We accept policy

Consume, Pollute and kill

Man long a go talked to the earth

Understood our place

What our gifts were worth

Im a coward

I speak but won't change

I like most carry that shame
