Poem -

Blizzard

The snow falls

so languid,

it barely touches the ground.

Soft and aloof

like me trying to be found.

It falls cold from the sky

and burns warm on the earth.

It's caught listlessly-

between heaven and hell-

with no way to go but down.

It doesn't know it's heading down,

just as I don't know I'm about to drown.

Drown in the snow that falls too fast

I wonder if it will ever last.

Because snow envelops the world in cold fluff

and I know enough to call your bluff.

But the thing about snow

is that it's everywhere-

like your image in my mind.

A blizzard of you-

and I can't seem to make it through.
