Blizzard of loneliness

Standing out in the snow
Or Curled up under the blankets
Who cares its all the same,
when your alone.
As you lay there in silence
Only able to hear your own breathing,
In out, in out,
That little winters breeze you enjoyed
Turned to icy daggers,
cutting through your skin
Making you feel like your standing in a raging blizzard,
Out in open fields,
No shelter. No flame. No warmth.
Thats when the darkness you thought was your friend betrays you,
Becomes your enemy,
A nightmare,
And for once
You want it all to end.
For the sun to come back.
For your little flame to stay alight in the storm.
But even though your flame fought to live
And for one split moment you felt ok again,
The storm came back,
Soon you'll loose to the blizzard,
As your skin turns blue,
As your buried six feet under ice,
You'll be all alone.
