Blood red poppies

Blood red poppies

Oh how pretty are our poppies
Scarlet red they signify
All our heroic heroes
Heavenly angels in the sky
Tormented in the trenches
Wet with worry they soldiered on
Never forget these men of courage
Sad wives husbands,
Mothers son
Fought our wars, lost in battle
Floods of red blood fell like rain
We annually display our poppies
To prove our men didn’t die in vain
Eleventh of November
We will remember
Celebrate in a special way
Thousands of victorious victors
Shine like stars on Armistice day ❤️
