Poem -

bloodstained Rose petals.

He bought roses
To the shore

One moonlit night

Petals gleaming
the water caressing

the sparkling edge
Beneath the stars

Recited a universal pledge
To honour the path
Which sands do cave

within his heart
A child stood brave
Amongst the shadows there

Candles placed
with tender care

Released his spirit
Within the air

Gleaming
bloodstained Rose petals
everywhere.

This is sad and dark. The title got my attention as this very moment I was writing something about a rose but I have horrible writers block. This poem is better than anything I could write.

With Love,

Val ♥️
