Blown Away

Green and low,
With waves and flow,
Lays a little leaf.

The grace in its gesture
Is lined with all its texture
When it hides from all its grief.

It has fallen,
And is now forced to go all-in
In shock and disbelief.

The days will pass
And its green will turn quite fast,
And the world will be it’s thief.

A new leaf will grow
Where is once would blow
To start all over in brief.
