Blue

Blue

You perch, blue bird, on the bed corner,
Blow-drying fingernails, varnished blue.
And I’m smitten; like a cream, drunk kitten,
On these memories I keep of you.

A sad song plays, nights turn to days,
Our bed, an island for two.
The scent, the sweat, passion not to forget,
My memories of ā€œI love you.ā€
