BLUE EYES

BLUE EYES

Hey there baby blue eyes

What a blissful sight you make

I feel your very essence

In every single breath you take

You have eyes like two large sapphires

And a nose too cute to care

I could lose myself within your skin

Inhale the sweet scent of your hair

You’re my heart and all my being

You’re the laughter to my tears

Your smile could melt an iceberg

And then wash away my fears

So when I see you run up to me

Grab my cheeks upon my face

Tell me “Huggle me please Mummy”

And I feel your warm embrace

The emotion wells within me

And it takes me back to when

We first met eye to eye

It was love at first sight then

You’re the angel that I dreamt of

In my every waking hour

A butterfly that flutters round

My little blossom flower

So when you hear a whisper, sleeping

But you think you must be wrong

It’s your Mummy singing to you

Our special, secret song

You know, the one I sang to you

When you cried throughout the night

I’d comfort and I’d soothe you

Then all your worries would take flight

Cos I’ll always be there blue eyes

A helping hand to see you through

You are my little sunbeam

Life’s complete now I have you x

This is a wonderful poem. I enjoyed reading this very much! We write a lot alike in style. There is a few  lines that have too many syllables, but overall this is a great poem! I can relate to the story as we have children and grandchildren! Thank you, The Shaker

Dearest Rachel, i agree with you what an adorable little princess, how our hearts beat faster within their very presence, and how empty life would be without there innocent little faces, such beautiful big blue eye's she has,
i love these lines they bring back memories to me so sweet
"So when you hear a whisper, sleeping

But you think you must be wrong

It’s your Mummy singing to you

Our special, secret song

You know, the one I sang to you

When you cried throughout the night

I’d comfort and I’d soothe you

Then all your worries would take flight"
i remember many singing moments, some just yesterday, such a gift of unconditional love they bring, i don't know what id do without my three, they complete me,
much love to you sweetheart, nardine xoxo

Ah, she is my little angel, and I meant every word of that write, she's very special to me, as are all of them. Its true Nardine, they are an extension of us, something that no matter how old they get somehow you wouldn't feel complete without them. I really appreciate you taking the time to read my stuff, thanks hun:)x
