Blue Valentine

What sorrows lay?
as aura blue
on feathered wings
that droop to mourn
and heart to pierce 
with arrows drawn
as unrequited Love 
doth scorn

Then promise of a truest love
from Cupid's shot
now hangs in disappointed air
so suffocates the hope
that anyone could ever care
springing tears of
cruel despair

And an Angel cries
in frozen mist of
soft whispered desire
of a promising dream redeem 
that Loves rules won't play mean

So will Stars align on Valentine's Day?
when ardour extends
for consolation 
though can be but an empty want
where romance bubbles leak
and to find real love
an endless seek
May Eros to all lonely hearts please now speak
and they be blue no more
