A Blurred Night

A Blurred Night

Light rose
Clear through
Warmth is sent from mouth to toes
Glass for change, a can in lieu
A thought is found of petty foes
Aggression raised then I turn to you

Dark amber
True gold
We were rough, though I am the sander
Of what the future has yet to unfold
Into the only eyes I've known I gander
And prove myself a love so bold

Deep red
Soft white
Barefoot feet trembling led
Weary tremble not in fright
To the silent fulfilled bed
In the blurred forgetful night
