Body Scars

As I stand across the room and you undress my eyes fall upon your body my heart starts to ache I bite my lip to hold back the tears and anger marks on your body that was caused by heartless fools with different tools.

I`m trying to be strong but in the same breath I feel something could have been done. As you try to hide the scars with clothing a feeling of embarrassment that people caused, still I am next to you running my fingers through the lines of hate, a tear falls on your back you turn to me holding me tight saying everything is gonna be alright.

In this moment for the first time I see colour in your eyes that never was I put my hand to your face and smile you reply with words of no denial.

For I have been broken before but you are the life in my eyes, the beat of my soul without you there will be no reason for me breathing at all.

If I had a choice to let what happend to me happen again I would change nothing because of this I can be missed by someone as true as you.
