Poem -

Born This Way

Why do you make me feel ashamed of the colour of my skin that God created me?
Stripped me of my true identity
Having no sense of belong in society
Burdened in a state of mental distraught
For the colour of my skin is the only beauty of me
God created me as he created you
God made us all alike in his image
Beautiful all of us skin deep
All to represent his world of nature
His world for us to live in unity
My eyes filled with tears of sadness
Disgust is how you look at me
For the colour of my skin is only the beauty of me
I forgive you they know not what they do
My heavenly father in his bible his words I hold on to
Love is all I know how to express onto you
Hate eventually takes over you
I will say a prayer out of love for you
Never to hurt or judge you
Forgive me I was born this way
For the colour of my skin is the beauty of me
From God who created you and whom created me.
