Poem -

BOY

I missed you
Boy
So very much
When you travelled
Away from me
Into the void
Into the black
I did not want to follow
I feared it
Dreaded it
But you took my hand
Anyway
And I came
Of course
Willingly
And as you dissolved
A little more
A little longer
Each day
I searched for you
But you wouldn't be found
I cried out for you
But you would not hear
I stood sentry
At the doorway of your pain
And with all
The very core of me
Prayed
That you
Boy
Would emerge
Find yourself

Restore yourself
Find your true path
Once again
I missed you, boy
So very
Very
Much
