BOY TO MAN

It's only a short trip so enjoy it while you can 
One moment a boy and very quickly a man 
The carefree life of youth will soon disappear 
Replaced by an older man that's standing here

I look back fondly and ask where did the time go
When I wanted it to go fast it always went slow
Regrets of course there was many along the way 
Best not to dwell on them for I'm still here today

The youth of today is so very different for sure 
Seem to me to be greedy always wanting more
I know that time will be precious for me now 
Just battle through with my memories somehow
