Funeral

Funeral

I drive over the next rise in the road,
And yet I see another,

I look outside as the terrain is almost a blur,

Was that an animal?

The sun bakes the road,

Would I die here if my car breaks down?

There is a good chance.

All my snacks have gone, consumed,

Water dances in its bottle as I encounter slight imperfections in the road,

A sad family reunion, miles ahead,

My destination seems to keep adding miles to my journey.

It's getting late. I'd better stop soon.

Thank you Cleo. I am experimenting, I usually just write rhymes, time to escape my comfort zone?
