Broken

Broken

How do you recover, from a bad broken heart,
When your trust has faded, even before a new start,
The days roll along, and you say you are good,
But you usually give more, than the other one would.

You live by yourself, and you imagine another,
But you like the solitude, as you'll soon discover,
Is it too late for me, to trust them again,
Or do you just live, being alone and the same.

Without taking a chance, you are happy in your space,
The walls a constant reminder, you're alone in your place,
And it is so much easier, when you are shopping for just one,
But you sit and often wonder, having another would be fun.

As I sit and I ponder, and these words describe my pain,
For now I'll remain single, waiting for my trust to regain,
If you spot someone alone, when you are out at a club,
It could be they are damaged, and could really use a hug.
