Breaking free

There was a time my future I could not see.
My addiction had consumed all of me.
I forgot about my hopes and my dreams.
I was praying that the Lord would come and set me free.
Sixteen years of living in the devil's grip,
rolling a bowl and taking a sip.
Getting so close to my own death,
not wanting to give up crystal meth.
That was until someone truly believed in me.
And wanted nothing more than to see me succeed.
They got me to this place called The Skyway House.
And now, from the devil's grip, I am breaking free.
