Breathe

Breathe
one more time my love
I just need
to hear you sigh ..
Breathe
one more time for me
my love
I need to see
both your chest and belly
rise in time
With those gentle
undulations ..
Like two
fallen sparrows might
In their
single quest to taste the sky

Gosh Neville, do I empathise with this poem. So sad when we find ourselves desperately wanting them to live just a moment more.

"With those gentle

In their

Poetic genius right here. This is beautiful imagery, even though the subject matter is so very sad. Your words reflect the beauty Beholden of the person observed in this fabulous write. Oozing love and devotion

Just a gem of a poem
