Brian’s Song

Dedicated to Cherie, on the loss of her dear friend, Brian Ragsdell

Our dear Cherie is hurt and bleeding, her heart lays tattered in it’s shred;
Her lifelong friend, Brian Ragsdell, to Heaven now has sped!
In life he was her mentor, his creativity a golden gift;
Jealous others not his equal, treated him with scorn and bitter rift!

She loved him like a brother, a sister she was to him too;
They shared their darkest secrets, to each other were they true!
When happy, he created funny jokes, wrote stories he would her tell;
Through life, they’ve been inseparable, but one of them just fell!

This writer cries along with her, her pain is my pain too;
I hope these words that I now send, bring some relief to you!
I’m sure he’s up in Heaven, and will soon send you a Blessed sign;
That this is just a little recess, someday reunited, all again will be just fine!
