Broadening my horizons

Broadening my horizons

I may meander amidst yon meadows and enjoy the midday sun
Tip-toeing timelessly through the tousled grass should be a lot of fun
I can go all by myself coz I don’t need anyone
I shall reminisce betwixt the forget me nots if you will pardon my pun

Basking in that sizzling sunshine I shall sit in the shade
As my hands smooth the long green grass I will scrutinize a blade
And if I see any beasties on it I won’t be afraid
Coz this is Mother nature at her best upon a glistening glade

Oh how I adore the captivating countryside
within the wildness of the woody copses and those green fields far and wide
Spread and scattered like little matchboxes as I distantly espied
Looking through the lens in my binoculars to magnify my mystified

Broadening my horizons I imagine this in the snow
with a carpet of coldness and sub zero temperatures below
As the hardy farm animals forages to and fro
Heavy laden from falling blizzards and freezing from the boisterious blow

Wow JILL!!...you have delivered some truly gorgeous imagery within the very unique phrasing of this piece......and to top it all off (poetically) you have carved out some wonderful alliteration along the way ~

~ "Tip-toeing timelessly through the tousled grass should be a lot of fun.."

What a truly fun read that was.....with many a line coming so 'trippingly off of the tongue' that it made it more than a pleasure to read aloud!!…..ALL STARS!....well done dear poet sister!!…...LOVE & ROCKETS!!…...T xo  : )
