Broken

He broke her 
It hurt her everyday 
She couldn't stand the looks he gave the others
Only slightly smirking her way 
He broke her heart a lot 
But sorry always covered it
Until the day he did to much 
So she told him she was over it 
He fought to regain his cover 
Over the girl he thought was his
Till he looked into the mirror and figured out just where he stood
He began to sweep the pieces 
Of the shattered heart upon his floor
He never knew how it felt until she left him all alone
He took the glass bottle and placed the shards inside 
He didn't quite know how many times she had done the same at night 
Now he regrets it everyday
Blaming himself 
He sees her from his window walking home from school 
Wondering if she would follow the pieces 
To the heart he had once had 
To place them back together and make him whole again 
Although she sits in silence watching him suffer oh so bad 
She's waiting for the moment he remembers what he had.........
