Broken

Broken

Briny tears fill the sea
Engraved on parchedΒ memory
All the water but none to partake,
Drowning in sorrow in the tide's wake
RemnantΒ shells settle on the shore,
DancingΒ with the waves evermore
Gilded sand a fool's treasure trove,
Fairytales weaved and wove
Words like glass randomly spoken
Spill from the heart of a poet broken

The beauty of this piece (for me) ..........was in each line's recognition of the line behind and directly ahead of it...........so it flows well from line to line..........but the lines between are merely expounding upon the first and the final line...........it's powerful ~ in it's attention to itself.............VERY strong write......shows that the author is truly thinking about what she's delivering..........just my humble opinion of course............you get better every day my friend............truly...............T xo
