Broken Promises

Broken Promises

Promises we made,

Never were to be broken,

Yet I'm fighting this battle,

While losing the war.

Didn't want to lose you,

And didn't want to cry,

But fighting this battle,

Has left me with scars.

The time has finally come,

When I must stand alone,

The love that I once felt,

Has slowly turn to pain.

Standing now alone,

No longer as one,

I've slowly come to see,

The lie that was always you.

In your defense I always came,

But in mine you've always fled,

No longer hiding,

And finally seeing,

Clear and Uncensored,

Your broken promises,
