Broken Soul

Broken Soul

I was walking down a path,
One that didn't lead me to you,
With vices I used to soothe,
An empty void that brewed.

Then I fell to my knees,
A broken soul I was,
In desperation to be saved,
I cried out to you who loves.

In a moment not expected,
A peace I felt on the inside,
Covering the anxiousness,
One which now resides.

I'm thankful for you, Lord,
The ears that would hear my cry,
And rescued me indeed,
Which for this I give my life.
