Broken Wing

I am an Eagle
With a broken wing
This shadowed steeple
Nod for which to sing

Two in alliance
Make for all my lift
Subtle defiance
Now this sudden shift

Where is she l pray
What's taking so long
How long shall l stay
Without my new song

Chickens eat little
And ducks are so proud
Me in the middle
My shame very loud

My dreams are too big
And ideas crazy
Use your beak to dig
You must be lazy

What's with your big claws
Why you eat so much
Height puts all on pause
Oh! for heal-ling's touch

She's my missing wing
Though we never met
My reason to sing
Shaded steeple yet
