Poem -

Brush & Paint

Seldom do we love; and such love—a raft and sea; and ever
This pain; and never this love; and sticks and stones and
Piers and tears and faith and hope—and hope and faith; and
Walk the night—a night to walk; and talk the love—a love to

Talk; and pierce a thought—a thought to pierce; and love a
Friend—a friend to love; and brush and paint—a wall to
Mind; and love and pain—a sector blind; and seldom love—
The sweetest ghost; and seldom heart—a loving host; and

Row the light—a light to row; and speak the woe—a woe to
Speak; and teach the love—a love to teach; and fall and rise—
The wings of life; and dance a drum—a drum to dance;
And grip the moon—a moon to grip; and often love—the love
Of self; and selfish love—a dying self; and given love—a
Tender faith; and driven love—a mystic face.
