Burn

She watched as the house burned, lighter still in hand.

No one noticed as she slipped back into the shadows.

Lights were flashing and sirens blaring as she crept to safety.

She felt the weight of her decision slowly melt away.

Finally the last piece of her past was gone forever.

Now able to move on and start again, without him.
