Poem -

Defeating the Wolf

Who's afraid of the big bad wolf?
With his claws in my side
And teeth like knives.
Tearing me apartΒ
Right from the start.

Who's afraid of the big bad wolf?
You left me there to die
All I did was cry.
My heart torn to shredsΒ
While you messed with my head.

Who's afraid of the big bad wolf?
You wanted me to squirmΒ
Like some little worm.
But I don't give in easy
Now thoughts of you make me queasy.

Who's afraid of the big bad wolf?
Not any more
I shoved you out that door.
You have no power over me
Because I've set myself free.
