The Burn

This weekend was a lot of fun
swimming and sitting out in the sun
but now I will pay so dearly
for something I should have seen so clearly

As we splashed around my son and me
the sun beat down like a swarm of bees
my head, my body is really achin'
I'm turning red all over my skin

Sunburn rides on my front and back
I need to sit in a frozen ice sack
I am not over reacting
I am merely facting

Ow !! it fucking hurts
to be totally burnt
factor 30 is important
I have now learnt
