Butterfly
Peaceful sweeping beauty
Silent as the breeze
I see how you flutter, butterfly
Singing past me.
Not long till you retire'
Yet so young since you were born
Collecting every sweet smell you find
As you carry yourself along.
A stillness in your beauty
A lightness in your touch
A softness in your kindness
You never ask for much
Peaceful singing butterfly
Still silent as the breeze
I watch you floating by meย
And wish I was only thee.
