Butterfly flutterby?
Delicate, dainty butterfly
swaying in the summer breeze
Kissing flowers flutterby
Does the pollen make you sneeze ?
Do you dwell in the floral meadow ?
Beyond the purple heather hills
where the grass is green & golden
awash with Springtime daffodils
There is a copper copse yonder amongst the silver birch trees
Is that where your children are
playing with the buzzy bees ?
I see you daily in my garden
hovering by my Honeysuckle bush
Tho your silence is simplicity
your crimson colours are lush
I have never seen such beauty
In the insects that I know
Those painted pallettes on your tiny wings
The marbled mosaic all aglow
Flittering flickers free spirit
careful with those scaley wings
Dodge the dewdrops on the daisies
Duck the honey bee stings

Hi JILL!!...I just left you a long comment on this write and it vanished just before I pushed the 'save' button....Hate it when that happens....so please just allow me to say how charming I found this write to be.....The TITLE is wonderfully attractive just like the flowers are to Butterflies!! (smiles)......Truly charming phrasing ~
