Cadent Pulse

Such steepness: a seraph climb. I kneel, soaring mystic marsh.
A grackle wails: I pause for love. The heart, a cadent pulse:
The mind, a rivet ghost. My joy, a tear lagoon: my pang, a
Wellic owl. I dare walk the future, and glide the fen, fraught
With Scripture: I dare perish alive; for death—a resurrection;
And life, a crucifixion. My haunt, a psychic ghost; and depth
The soul, a diamond. She speaks the mystic, and dies the
Breath. [Selah] I fall, and stumble-wings: I rise, and tumble
Weeds. Forecast the utopia: sing the eclipse. For hope, an
Angel tear; and faith, an infant’s prayer. My ache, a bleeding
Nib: my bliss, a psychic glimpse. And sparkle, my pivot
Heart; and rumble, my cultic will; for war, a conscious mind.
I float, a cadent pulse; and I breathe, a telic flame; and I gross,
A daily death; and I love, the fervent wheel.
