The Cage of Love

Everyone has a cage,

Mine takes the shape of love,

Love binds me into my rage,

When it's you I'm thinking of,

With every twist and turn,

You wriggle into my mind,

Until my ropes are burned,

And my chains begin to grind,

Your voice starts to grow old,

And your imperfections show,

As our love is strained and doubts em-bold,

All my inhibitions begin to blow,

So I burst free,

From this anguished cacophony,

Into the silence of release...
