Caged Birds

Caged Birds

Until we're born,
we're but a foetus -
once born, we are made X, Y, Z
in clans, creeds, castesĀ
and religions having many Gods
to be worshipped lifelong Ā
and through rituals post-death.
Rituals begin before we're conceived
to last never even after death.
We're busy but in dividing land,
air, water and of late minds!
Can we ever break the jinx
of clan, caste, creed and religion
to be just human beings
loving the mankind through humanity,
uniting again into one beautiful world?Ā
