Caged Sparrow

A little sparrow
Tucked away
She may flutter sometimes,
But never stray,
She was taught; never disobey.
So she stays
Continues to flitter
For one day this little sparrow
Will wither away.
If only the light can be brought back
If only time can move forward for her,
And not back,
Agony and Pain surrounds her
When will the light mount her -
The little sparrow holds a key
She will only share it with me,
For when the time is right
I will unlock the cage
And send her on her flight -

It is interesting people thought that because I have written a couple poems about wanting a child and my own experiences people thought this was about my daughter. I am going to be honest with everyone; I do not have any children yet.. And as for the poem! The little Sparrow is ME :D
