California Dreaming
Chilly overcast of a calm Santa Monica morning
We all dream of fame, fortune, our name on Hollywood boulevard
Day time we hustle, nights we spend California dreaming
Beach day, or snow day?
Riding in the desert, or hunting in the forest?
Well hell, we can do that all in one day.
Six Flags, or do you prefer Disneyland?
A nice cold brew as you relax with your friends
The ocean's breeze with your toes snug in the sand
California dreaming, we all dream of something
Lovers walking underneath the moonlight
I dream of hiking and surfing
California is my home, and I love her
I am California grown
Not because she is liberal, she has much beauty to offer

Hey amber cool write , I hear the mama's and papa's sing your poem . I have been to cali but I was only 2 . My aunt lived out there and I have seen the pictures very beautiful. One of my friends works out In California and he loves it . Loved the pictures but your words take it to another place altogether . Hugs to you rock

I used to live at "Top of The World" in Laguna Beach!!......... Love the way the moon bounces off of the cliffs and turns the beach into blue light there......... Love Cali!!........ lots of friends of there.......... cool write!!....... smiles...........T xo
