CAMBION'S DEADLY KISS

CAMBION'S DEADLY KISS

I wait for the night to descend and majestically reign
As you ravishย my dreams searching for surrender.
Tis your discreet secrets which apprehend my thoughts;
Such brutal whispers like the sound of steel slicing silk!
Clandestine desire trembles in dark breezes as you
Twist magic into mist and shadowed moonlight
Rapaciously intent on the delicate scent of lust and death!
I see your kisses hemorrhage on the lipsย of former mistresses.
They did warn me but your persistence won as you
Entangled me in incandescent caresses which rose
To such a crescendo that the dream became my reality.
How brutal the wound of a predator...holocaust of fang to flesh!

Cambion, my nocturnal lover, you bring storm and tempest!
I can smell your passion so hot and sanguine sweet!
You who baptized me in a desire thatย enslaves and maims
My soul and has estranged me from heaven's promises.
I drank your special toxin; a bloody debauchery!
Slowly the door to depraved immortality opened its maw.
Now that you have tired of me I mourn desperately
The loss of our passion, how swiftly you emptied me
And filled me with a desolation so black and void
Of feeling that I didn't anticipate its sequel.
This fury, this bludgeoning of human emotion deliberately
Extracted with a savagery imbued in a kiss!
As my life drips from your lips the dream implodes;
I've become a murderer, a slayer,ย like you.

Horror is one of my favorite subjects. ย One can find it in many genres...monsters, werewolves, vampires and dark alleys filled with danger.

Tony! ย Oh, thank you so much! ย You spoil me with you comments! ย When I write in prose I want to hit the reader with phrases that, as you said will take you into the world I've created. ย ย  You must read PoetessDarkly's poem entitled WICKED. ย We used the same picture and I think we were on the same kind of bloody trail.

Also, I've posted a poem about Vikings I think you'd like!
