Can You Hear Me?

Can You Hear Me?

When do we ever get to speak?

I mean all our lives we're getting fed what ever the world puts in our mouths,

Millions of dollars spent on advertisements just so that they reach us, teach us, and keep us.

They desensitize our minds and tell us to keep streaming,

Our mouths are wide open soaking in information that they keep pouring,

Its all we know.

We watch movies about robots, but it's Ironic how we are what we watch.

They put it in front of our eyes then decide how our lives Play out,

they only insert what will get them a bigger pay out,

If it goes against what they say they shut it down, "kids don't play out!"

It's what they scream when these children of generations try to step outside for a little,

Bound by invisible barriers and everyday gets scarier,

We the voiceless are searching for a microphone to speak life into,

Each one of us is unique, they just don't let us show it,

For sure they know it.

I'll be the first to make the choice to regain a voice that was taken.

Express whats on your chest, nothing less,

Being you is being the best, no regrets, no debts,

No one to impress, no way to dress,

Generation X rise up and show em how you do it blessed.

"Listen to the kids bro!" LOL
