Poem -

Candle

I sit in a dark, quiet room.

I'm alone in this big world.

For I've lost you, gone forever.

And I still can't let it go.

All I can do is sit here,

Waiting for a sign,

Something to help me forget,

But for you, I can't stop thinking.

I keep a small flame,

Burning against the wax.

And it releases the smell,

The smell that reminds me of you.

To the dark world around it,

It seems simply dim.

But this small piece of glow

Is the only light of my world.

I watch the flame dance,

And I think of you.

For I keep the candle burning,

Burning -- for you.

But I can't anymore.

I have to accept it.

For if I keep holding on,

I'll lose myself too.

So I cry over the candle,

That burns my love for you.

And I leave it concealed

And put out with a tear shed for you.
