“Can’t Let Go” (Inspired by Anthony Hamilton)

I’m swimming, my heart; and dying, my soul. Explore such
A wound; and cry such a prayer. So much I fathom; and so
Much I filter. Such desperate eyes: to long a fortress: to die
The Christ. So inclined, my pulse; and I perish soft.
Imagine a soul, athirst a vision; and ponder, such love; for
Youth, a cryptic war; and growth, a sheltered hope. My
Precious tulip, awake a thirst, and cry a spirit; for paradise,
A mental grasp, and zenic wings, the pearls of God. I
Envision—a diamond mind; and mother’s pain, a sore ideal;
But such the hurt, a daughter’s favor; and such the wind, a
Daughter’s wand. I fall and rise, a daily chant; and cultic
Signs, a christic life. Imagine a soul, partly undone; and
Pardon my love, despite the death; but fever love, the heart’s
Redemption; and cryptic love, a sore affliction.
