Captain Kangaroo

Captain Kangaroo

You died
a while ago
but
what you
gave my
generation
will carry
on forever

You provided
entertainment
to children
where innocence
was cherished
and it was
okay to be
a kid

I never heard
anything
bad about
you
no dark
secrets
or anything
that would
tarnish
your
name
To me
you represented
what our
children
need
to hear
and
that
is
"Goodness"
