Poem -

Casket

I am but a ghost, in a casket
of flesh and of bone,
trapped for a lifetime
as years come and go.

the muscle surrounding
keeps me locked in,
there is only one exit
and that is sin.

when will it expire
even time doesn't know,
I sit here and wonder
how old will I grow.

programmed in instinct
we follow the old,
books about history
forever unfold.

cometh the change,
cometh the new
the realm of the ages
forever anew.
